Sipho Ngwenya is a dynamic and visionary businessman. He has interests in numerous businesses and sectors across several countries.
Mining: After leaving his corporate job, Sipho cut his teeth as a trader of precious metal and stones in UAE, operating his business from SAIF Zone, UAE. He established and operated subsidiaries in Ghana, Sierra Leon and Zambia, as well as working with associates in numerous countries including DRC, Tanzania, Guinea, and Uganda. He has currently extended his reach into mining and currently owns two gold mines and a chrome mine in Zimbabwe, while he awaits completion of compliance on a recently acquired granite quarry. He has also successfully traded in Lithium, Chrome, Coal, and copper through his company in South Africa. He has extensive knowledge and experience of the mining and minerals business in UAE and Africa.
Advisory Roles: Mr Ngwenya plays numerous advisory roles, most prominently, He was officially appointed as an Advisor to the Minister In State For Devolution and Provincial Affairs for Matebeleland South, Dr Evelyn Ndlovu. He advises the Minister and the province on issues to do with attracting Diaspora and foreign investment into Matebeleland South. His guidance has resulted various projects receiving foreign investment, with many more in the pipeline. He also advises high net worth individuals on wealth management, corporate structuring, succession planning and offshore structures.
Sipho is also a founding member of the Zimbabwe Business Council -UAE (ZIBCO). The organisation works closely with Dubai Chambers to establish bilateral business opportunities between UAE and Zimbabwe.
